Be Thankful Postcards
I am now working on some fabric postcards with the theme 'Be Thankful". I have never made postcards before, and they are kind of fun!
Blogger’s Quilt Festival – Fall 2010

I am participating in the Blogger's Quilt Festival. I have chosen my "Hope" quilt to use in the festival.
When I made this, I had just found ou that both of my adult children had Bi-Polar Syndrome. I made this to let all of us know that there is always hope in everything.
I had just taken a Carol Taylor class and learned how to make her couched spirals, against a fused and couched rectangle background. It was time consuming and fun. I went a little beyond her signature sirals and added some swirls and curves of my own.

Excited!

I just finished a small wall quiltlet for my father-in-law's recent marriage. Their bedroom is all white; NO color! So the quiltlet is also all white. It is a little hard to see because of the lack of color, but you will get the idea. Now I am starting on a challenge for Keepsake Quilting, and a quilt project for Gyleen Fitzgerald of Canal Tiles for her upcoming book. Busy, busy, busy! And learning new things! For Gyleen's project I needed to buy 2 new rulers, and I am going to try them out in a minute. Keepsake is a beach scene, and I haven't decided on a technique yet. I'll keep you posted!
Long time, no see!
I have been neglecting my blog, and have renewed my vow to blog everyday! Today I started Kay Sorenson's Tessellations tutorial. Looks like great fun. I am excited! Tonight I will finish my Father-in-law's wedding wall quilt. I will post a picture when I finish.
